In that type of install, it is great to have these little pedals as an option - and the switches are spaced perfectly and right up front thanks to the Loop Master. (not to mention the tone suck of having so many pedals in series) I have to use a true bypass switcher such as a loop master. To get around the shoe size issues / switch density etc. In that rig, I use some of the small form factor pedals. This is what I use for studio recording and songwriting with the band because I can quickly get to literally any tone I want quickly, and without re-patching or worrying about power supplies. However I got sick of patching pedals in all the time, so I now have one "big rig" that has a little of everything.
Cheap mini pedal clones portable#
If it's only a few pedals to achieve light / portable rig, then of course it comes down to whatever sounds best, and sometimes that's the big ones, with the normal tradeoffs that brings. Locks right on the note, plenty accurate, and super visible display. This is a good topic. Rowin Tuner-Cant believe how cheap this thing was. I have Maleko env filter mini pedal that cost 2x as much, doesn't sound as good, and has the same sensitivity adj issues except worse. Tricky to get the sensitivity just right, but thats most likely a problem with any envelope filter. The Spring reverb is def not boutique sounding but darn sure adequate for a bit of reverb on any amp without it.ĭonner Auto Wah-Good sound. If you need a simple analog delay, its a no brainer. The MM Silver is one of my absolute fav drives, right now its on my main board and paired with a Tumnus. Moskey MM Silver Drive, Blue Delay, Spring Reverb. Unless you want some kind of expression function, its all you really need. The Tremelo does exactly what a Tremelo should do. Reminds me too much of 80s big hair bands. The Hot Plexi is a good pedal, but I haven't really connected with it so it doesn't get used much. The AC Tone nails Vox so well thru my SF Bassman, I decided to take a chance on the American Sound's 50s tweed emulation.
Cheap mini pedal clones full#
All my Joyo ones are full sized enclosures. Joyo AC Tone, Hot Plexi, Tremelo, American Sound on the way. I got most of the mini pedals to put together a mini board to take out to jams.

Had always considered I was playing a second percussion.

When I was strumming as rhythm guitarist in a band, I had absolutely none. I know these are very basic and limited but I cannot justify to myself having expensive pedals.īTW: these are my very first pedals.

Only concern: that pedal also modifies the EQ and it has to be set on most of the effects using the Ctrl2 knob. I will try the flanger if I happen to dare to play Wish You Were Here with my Gretsch, which I probably won't: I'm to snob to play Pink Floyd on a Gretsch.
Cheap mini pedal clones mod#
The Mod Factory has plenty of crap effect, but I'm quite pleased with the tremolo which is the one I use the most, as well as the auto-wha or the touch-wha from time to time (the latter being reserved to my playing the Gun Club's Cry To Me). I use the Reecho only as a slapback echo, using the so-called "tape echo" mode, which probably adds a little chorus to the delay to simulate the tape hiss or faults. I currently use 2 Mooer pedals and I'm pretty satisfied with them.
